Thank you for spending a beautiful Saturday noon time with us on this World Polio Day for our district virtual World Polio Day event on October 24.  Your strong support, participation and generous contribution for this meaningful World Polio Day event is heartily appreciated.  We are pleased to share with you that we got nearly 130 Rotarians and Guests registered this virtual event.  Our district registration beat the same event hosted by three districts combined together.  We are so proud of you, and you made our district very proud, too.  Let's continue to work together by taking a simple action to achieve a Polio-free world soon. 
\r\n
\r\nAlso thanks to our Polio team led by our District Polio Program Chair Billy Louis, Co-Chair Bob Parkinson, committee member Ken Weiss, Bob Sartwell, John Reid and Sonia Liu; and particularly Ashley Waters who is our district Public Image Chair for this event branding and facilitating this event.  Their tremendous efforts are greatly appreciated.

I, the DG for our D7620, would like to share this exciting news with you that our Club Leadership Training today was a smashing huge success.  Our registration number was a record-breaking nearly 200, the most successful CLT I've ever seen in our district. I thank all of your participation, your enthusiasm, your great support to make this happened.  I'd also like to thank our entire team -
\r\nDistrict Education Committee including Trainers Chris Zabriskie, Ayse Orellana, Pam Kreis, DGE Geetha Jayaram, DGN Sean McAlister; and facilitators for each breakout session:

\r\nWhat a great installation ceremony for our new incoming District Governor 2020-2021 Jimmie Gorski!  It was nicely done for such a very first and special virtual installation ceremony due to this Covid-19 pandemic. 
\r\n
\r\nNot only do we thank this planning team led by AG Sue Weber including Carolyn Richards from Annapolis Rotary Club, Sean McAlister, the incoming DGN and RLI Chair from Capitol Hill Rotary Club but also the Master of Ceremony by our PDG and District Rotary Foundation Chair Rich Glover, Jimmie was proudly pinned by our incoming Rotary International Director Peter Kyle from our own Capitol Hill Rotary Club with that privileged DG pin.  What a precious moment! 
\r\n
\r\nWho said this pandemic  is only a threat to our lives?  It opens so many more opportunities to connect us all over the world together.  It reflects this new Rotary year of theme perfectly.  In this installation ceremony, we saw many Rotarians with their family connected to watch this virtual installation ceremony, to virtually toast to our incoming DG Jimmie, all the hearty welcome remarks and congratulations from our past District Governors, Club Presidents and other Individuals.  Thank you for all of your dedication and support to our District!
