showStory([[{"CREATED_BY":"Zabriskie, Christopher T ","MODIFIED_BY":"Zabriskie, Christopher T ","SUBMITTED_BY":"Christopher T Zabriskie","BITEDITEDBY":0,"STORYID":118962,"BITINCHR":1,"STORYDATE":"Wednesday, October 28, 2020","IMAGE":"","NUMBERCOMMENTS":0,"STORYURL":"https://www.IsMyRotaryClub.org/Story/","SUMMARY":"Not only is our country entering a voting season, but your Rotary Club will soon be conducing elections for officers and directors for the 2021-22 Rotary Year.  Our club’s bylaws require that at our November business meeting that I call for nominees to fill the roles coming open or up for reelection.  In addition to electing the President Elect (Club President in 2022-23), we will elect a vice president, secretary, treasurer, which are one-year terms, and also youth service director, club service director and international service director, which are all two year terms and up for renewal.
\r\n
\r\nThe elections will take place at a club assembly, which per the bylaws will take place the second Wednesday in December, known as the club assembly.  Nominees should be finalized by our December but may also be entertained from the floor.  Any club member may nominate themselves or another.
\r\n
\r\nShould there be any contested positions; more than one nominee for a position, we will use a written (or electronic) ballot.  Otherwise, the club will vote by voice vote of members present (live or virtual).
\r\n
\r\nAnd also, don't forget to vote in the important national election as well.

\r\nChris Zabriskie, Club President, presented Mitch with a check for $305 for needed supplies, while Rotarians Seth Distler and Jeannine James also put sweat equity into the project.
\r\n
\r\nThe construction started on Saturday, October 10th and ran the entire weekend.  Other supporters of the project include 84 Lumber, Lowe's of La Plata, Ace Hardware of Charlotte Hall, and members of Scout Troop #2421.
